"What a useless, depressing rock."

-Samuel Scully

Discovered in the early twentieth century, KOI-107-c and the other planets in it's system were never a particularly notable discovery. Lifeless, and of little mineral value, the planet was never explored or given much note.

Circa 2052, the Battle of Waypoint 107 was fought in the vicinity of this world. At some point in the following months, the remains of the crippled Imperial battleship Isaac crashed onto the neighboring world of KOI-107-d.

For the most part this world has been forgotten, but some conspiracy theorists occasionally insist that the limited information of the world signifies some manner of cover up. Many suggest that an ancient alien civilization might have once resided here, and has been hidden by the Empire. The Empire has dismissed these claims as blatantly false, as there has been very little research conducted on the uncolonized world.

Formation[]

Due to minimal research being conducted, little is known about this world, but it can be assumed that the planet formed from debris over the course of time, as the system's star formed.

Composition[]

Atmosphere[]

KOI-107-c has little atmosphere, only small amounts of gases trapped in the planet's gravity. Because of this lack of atmosphere, the world's day time rises to extreme temperatures, and the surface is bombarded with deadly levels of solar radiation. On the night side, temperatures drop dramatically. These conditions make any life impossible, without extreme artificial shelter.

Terrain[]

The planet's surface is entirely rocky and lifeless, with trace deposits of iron and calcium throughout the world. The lack of atmosphere allows meteorites to often strike the surface, resulting in a cratered surface.

Orbit[]

Though in depth observation has not been dedicated, scientists believe that KOI-107-c has been set on an increasingly elliptical orbit, and may escape it's system eventually- But only after several millennia of steady displacement.

In the shorter term, the planet's orbit is fairly normal, and uniform, having minimal eccentricity.

Moons[]

KOI-107-c possesses a very small moon, though it may be better classified as simply a large asteroid captured in the planet's orbit. Little argument has been made, as the world gains little attention given it's low priority research status.
